Jesus, You Held On
12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13, King James Version)
I remember the inner vision during a recent time of extreme pain; suffering; trial; and tribulation. It was 'crawling' on my belly into the room where Jesus was: crawling across the room to his feet and grabbing hold of the hem of his garment - and just holding on there. In the inner vision, and inner prayer, I wasn't rejected - or condemned, but accepted.
I have graduated! I'm still holding on the the hem of the Lord Jesus' garments, but now I'm on my knees.
20And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. (Matthew 9:19-21, King James Version)
35And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
36And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. (Matthew 14:35-36, King James Version)
I posted a little while back of the child-like inner vision of knocking on the great door in heaven, and hearing, "come in." When I go in, it is still straight to the feet of the Lord Jesus, and grabbing hold of the hem of his garment. I dare not even look up, and imagine that I may look upon the LORD God - who sits beside the Lord Jesus - but I am accepted there - and it is there that pure Spirit is.
6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:6-8, King James Version)
19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (Revelation 3:19-21, King James Version)
So, beloved, hold on! Try to get an inner picture of literally hoding on to the hem of the Lord Jesus' garments. Through the pain or trouble; self - demons or self - condemnation; hold on! And our Lord, the Christ Jesus will come in to the broken and repentful heart.
Not only will the Lord Jesus come in, but the holy Spirit of our magnificent Father in heaven will begin to create a new life for you.
Peace and Comfort be to you, in the name of the Christ, Jesus - Son of the living God.
